1. Introduction
At Rockland Auto Detailing, we treat every vehicle with care. To keep expectations clear, please review the following terms before your appointment. By booking or receiving a service from Rockland Auto Detailing, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
12. Child Car Seats
For safety, we recommend removing child car seats before your appointment. If a car seat must be removed in order to perform the service, the vehicle owner is responsible for reinstalling it and confirming that it is properly secured before use. Rockland Auto Detailing is not responsible for the installation, positioning, or safety of any child restraint.
13. Windshield Wipers
Windshield wiper blades or arms may be lifted or cleaned during service. Worn, brittle, loose, aging, or deteriorated blades and arms may crack, tear, loosen, or detach during normal handling. Rockland Auto Detailing is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing wear or deterioration.
14. Personal Belongings
Please remove valuables, cash, electronics, and personal belongings before your appointment. Rockland Auto Detailing is not responsible for lost, damaged, misplaced, or discarded items left inside the vehicle, including items located in seat crevices, compartments, cup holders, door pockets, or the trunk.
15. Aftermarket & Loose Parts
Rockland Auto Detailing is not responsible for damage to aftermarket accessories, wraps, tint, decals, emblems, antennas, loose or brittle trim, aftermarket body components, or previously repaired or repainted areas that are affected by normal cleaning, polishing, or detailing procedures.
16. Mechanical & Electrical Issues
Our detailing services are cosmetic in nature. Rockland Auto Detailing is not responsible for pre-existing mechanical, electrical, battery, sensor, warning-light, or water-leak issues. This includes problems related to faulty seals, sunroof drains, damaged weather stripping, electrical components, or other existing vehicle conditions.
17. Results Not Guaranteed
Some stains, odors, scratches, swirl marks, oxidation, water spots, and other defects may not be fully removable. Paint correction can significantly improve the appearance of a vehicle but cannot safely remove damage that extends beyond the available clear coat or paint surface.
Results may vary depending on the age, condition, materials, previous repairs, and history of the vehicle. We will provide our best professional assessment before or during the service when limitations are identified.
18. Ceramic Coatings
Ceramic coating durability and performance depend on proper maintenance and care. Customers are responsible for following any aftercare and maintenance recommendations provided by Rockland Auto Detailing.
We are not responsible for reduced coating performance or premature failure caused by improper washing techniques, harsh chemicals, automatic car washes, environmental contamination, neglect, accidents, or failure to properly maintain the vehicle.
19. Final Inspection & Sign-Off
When service is complete, customers are encouraged to inspect the vehicle with us before we leave or before taking possession of the vehicle. Any concerns should be raised at that time so they can be reviewed and addressed promptly.
Once the vehicle is accepted, or if no concerns are raised at completion, the service will be considered satisfactory and complete. If the customer is not present at completion, the service will be considered accepted upon completion, and any completion photos may serve as a record of the vehicle’s condition.
20. Limitation of Liability
If damage is directly caused by Rockland Auto Detailing’s negligence and is identified during the final inspection, our liability will be limited, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, to repair of the affected area or reimbursement of the cost of the service associated with the issue.
